Chief Executive Officer - Singapore

Having graduated in 1986 from Edinburgh University with an Honours Law Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Simon started his financial career with J.P. Morgan / Saudi International Bank in London, New York and the Middle East specialising in corporate finance solutions for High Net Worth, Corporate and Family Office clients. In 1994, Simon moved to Clydesdale Bank PLC (then part of the National Australia Bank group) to build the Specialised Finance Unit before being asked (in 1999) to join the board of one of Scotland’s largest privately owned companies (Strathclyde Pharmaceuticals Limited) as Business Development Director. In 2006, upon the successful growth and sale of the principal parts of that business, Simon joined UBS AG in Scotland to drive forward its Scottish wealth management business. In 2008 Simon moved to Credit Suisse in Singapore to establish and develop their UK/International private banking operation before joining Cazenove Capital Management in June 2016. Simon is a GlobalScot and co-founder of the Scottish Business Association of Singapore.

Walter started his investment career as a Relationship Manager in Austria, followed by 12 years in Luxembourg heading the portfolio management unit of one of Germany’s largest banks. In 2006 he moved to Singapore to set up a Merchant Bank (DZ Privatbank) as CEO and Managing Director. He graduated from the Business College in Innsbruck/Telfs and holds the Certified Effas Financial Analyst (CEFA) from the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies Paris and Investment Analyst DVFA from the German Association of Financial Analysis and Investment Management in Frankfurt. He joined Schroders in 2011.

Ranjiv joined in 2009 and has more than 15 years’ experience in financial markets where he was a strategist for Asia at Aberdeen Asset Management Singapore from 2001. Ranjiv later became the Head of Investment Advisory for BSI Bank Ltd in Singapore from 2007 – 2009. He has a Master’s degree of Business Administration in Finance with an emphasis on Financial Engineering from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, and is a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.

Doreen Tan

Team Head of Finance

Doreen joined in 2012 as the Team Head of Finance. She started her career in the Banking industries in the late 80s where she first joined a local bank in Singapore. Doreen moved to various Banks throughout her career and has more than 20 years’ experience. Doreen has a B.Sc in Accounting and Finance with Honors from the University of London.
