When I meet prospective clients they often ask me about our investment priorities. I always tell them that the first thing we will invest in is our relationship with them.
Of course we are entirely focused on advising our clients well and making successful investments on their behalf. I am also asked how long it takes to build a successful relationship. With two centuries of tradition, we have always looked to the long term - this is inherent in our culture and one reason for our enduring stability. But that does not stop us from embracing change.
